Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of chattie.app. By using the site or verifying to join the waitlist, you agree to them.
1. What Chattie is
Chattie is an early-stage, identity-verified chat service. It is not fully built yet: right now the site verifies eligibility and lets you reserve a founding-members spot. We don't guarantee that the full service will launch, or when.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter these terms. You agree to verify using a government ID that is genuinely yours. Creating multiple accounts, or using someone else's ID, is not allowed.
3. Verification and "sex"
Entry requires verifying your sex and age through our third-party provider, Veriff. "Sex" means the sex marker (M or F) recorded on the government ID you present. You acknowledge that (a) this reflects your official document, not a biological or medical determination; (b) Chattie may organise certain rooms around this marker; and (c) presenting a document that is not validly yours, or misrepresenting the marker, will result in removal. Chattie does not receive or store your ID image or your name (see our Privacy Policy).
4. The waitlist
If you give us your email, we may email you about early access. You can unsubscribe or ask us to delete your email at any time (privacy@chattie.app).
5. Acceptable use
Don't use the site to harass others, commit fraud, break the law, or access it through automated means. Verification gates entry, not behaviour; abusive conduct can still get you removed.
6. No warranty
The site is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. It is early software under active development and may change or be withdrawn at any time.
7. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, Chattie is not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the site.
8. Changes
We may update these terms as the product develops; the "last updated" date reflects the latest version. Continued use after a change means you accept it.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Cyprus, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Going global doesn't change this: we choose one home law rather than a different one per country. If you are a consumer, this does not take away the mandatory protections you have under the law of your country of residence.
